THE COMELINE - The Come line allows players to make additional bets to get some action one very roll of the dice. The player does this by placing a new bet in the COME box and then on the next roll of the dice, 7, 11 you win; 2, 3, 12 you lose. Keep in mind, the PASS LINE is still in action. The COME line is exactly like the PASS LINE bet except the COME bet has to be made after the point has been established. Remember, the dealer has marked the 9 as the point. Now we can make a COME bet. The COME bet is made in this area and the COME bet starts on the very next roll of the dice. If, on the very next roll of the dice the shooter rolls a 7 or an 11, we win just like the PASS LINE. If, however, a 2, 3 or 12 is rolled, we lose just like the PASS LINE. If any other number is rolled, that will be our COME number. Now the point is 9. WeÆve made our COME bet and letÆs say the roll of the dice is a 6. The dealer will take your bet and move it to the 6.
Now, hereÆs an important point to remember. The position or placement of your bet is determined by where you are standing at the table. This tells the dealer and the player exactly where all of his bets are so be sure not to change positions at the table. LetÆs make another COME bet. When placing your bet on the COME area, always place it directly in front of you. The next roll of the dice, letÆs say is a 5. The dealer will take your bet and move it to the 5 in the same position as the 6 and you can make as many COME bets as you want. So now you have a PASS LINE point of 9 and 2 COME bets; one on the 6 and one on the 5. Now if the shooter rolls a 6 before a 7 you win this bet and if the shooter rolls a 5 before 7, you win this bet. If the 7 rolls, you lose all this money plus the PASS LINE.
LetÆs say the shooter makes his point which is 9. All the players on the PASS LINE win and the next roll of the dice is a "come out" roll. The shooter throws a 7, and you win the PASS LINE bet but you lose your COME bets and youÆre wondering "why did I lose my COME bets?". You lost your COME bets because you needed to roll a 5 or a 6 before a 7. Remember, once you place the COME bet, it plays until you win or lose. Now, this is how you win. LetÆs say the point is 8 and the next roll of the dice is a 6. HereÆs what happens. The dealer takes your money off the 6 and pays you even money for your bet. Remember to pick up your money because it stays here in the COME area and it will play on the next roll of the dice. LetÆs say that next roll of the dice is a 5.
